Quick Tour of the New Website
We hope you enjoy our new website. We have moved most of the information from the old site over and added some additional features here, as well as updating the overall layout and performance. Below is a quick tour of what’s different from the old site. Let us know what you think in the comments!
1. The Home Page displays a chronology of article snippets. It will display as many as possible, but only in a summary form – to read the whole article, click and it and it will open up in a separate window. When it does, you can “like” the article on Facebook, or add a comment. Adding comments does require a profile to prevent spam, but if you don’t have a Google or Wordpress (etc.) profile you can always select Anonymous or Name/URL. When done reading or commenting on an article, simply close that article window to see the home page again.
2. Pages are displayed as tabs across the top of the home page. New pages include an interactive Calendar of Events, a Forms and Documents page, and a placeholder page for the 2014 Cowboy Carnival. You can always click on the title (Hyattville Community Center) to get back Home.
3. Archives and Subscribe - Here you can look for past articles based on date, or subscribe to see any new articles sent directly to your email.
