Cowboy Carnival 5K Run-Walk & Kids K
We are launching a new activity for this year's Cowboy Carnival - a 5K Run/Walk, and a Kids K!
The 5k course is out and back on improved gravel roads. You’ll start in town at the Community Center then head east towards the Bighorn Mountains on a scenic ranch road winding through the trees along the Paintrock Creek. At the top of the ridge you’ll take in an awesome view of the valley then just past the corrals turn and head back to town for the finish.
The Kids K begins at the Community Center and makes a loop around town on gravel roads.

- 9:30 a.m. Registration for the 5K
- 10:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk Race Starts
- 10:45 a.m. Awards
- 11:00 a.m. Kids 1 K Registration and Start
- Start and Finish – Hyattville, WY Community Center entry gate
Entry Fee:
- 5K – *$30. The online registration is $30, plus a $3.30 processing fee, for a total of $33.30, OR you can pay cash or check - $35 morning of race. This fee includes your day-long entry to the Cowboy Carnival events and BBQ Lunch.
- Kids 1K – Free (for ages 1—12), or $10 with tee shirt

The 5K Run - Walk at 10 amThis is a 3.1 mile/5K route in Hyattville. The route has a gentle total ascent of 163.75 ft and has a maximum elevation of 4,608.53 ft.
Registration: Race registration starts at 9:30 Race: The event begins at 10 Fee: The Fee is $33.30 for online registration. This fee includes a ticket to the day's events and lunch, and a t-shirt. Registrations done on the day of the event will be $35. |
The Kids K at 11 amThis is a 0.6 mile/1K route in Hyattville. This event starts at 11 am, at the entrance to the Hyattville Community Center.
Registration: Race registration starts at 11 Race: The Kids K starts at 11 Fee: There is no fee for the Kids K, but if you desire a T-shirt, there will be a $10 charge for the shirt. |
All participants will be required to sign a Release Waiver.
